Since about 5 years, I started getting weird itchy yellow pustular blisters over my face. Most of them are about the same size, everywhere on my face (really random places). I’ve been getting one/two blisters about every week on average. Sometimes it can get worse and I can have multiples lésions everywhere on my face.
Depending on the size, they heal without leaving a scar after a few days or so. When I first started getting these blisters my skin would get red and very itchy in the spot where the blister would develop. Sometimes, I also get really red and swelled around the lesion, with a White spot and a lesion with yellow puss at the middle. It can leaves a red lesion that looks like a skin irritation. The puss takes a lot of time to go away, it leaks a lot.
Does it look like it could be the same skin condition from here? I’m clueless
I saw about 4 dermatologists. I’ve had multiple blisters swabbed and the cause doesn’t seem to be bacterial or viral. I used to be on accutane, but it didn’t completely go away, it helped a little tho. I’m currently on differin gel, but it makes my face really dry.
Hi, welcome here, I’m sorry you have to go through this Many people have had a positive experience with a medicine called Soolantra (also called Rosiver in Canada), maybe you can ask one of your dermatologists for a prescription? For myself personally, Rosiver was not really effective. For the past 10 months or so I have been using a different medicine called Zoryve which was really helpful for me. I use it in combination with Rosiver and Biacna (another skin medication). Hopefully for you, just Soolantra/Rosiver would be enough. Stay strong, I know this disease is so difficult to deal with.
Does yours look like mine? I’m curious because it seems the forum carry a lot of different conditions that looks alike but aren’t the same necessarily.
It looks like the same condition to me. What are the dermatologists saying? You have fair Northern European complexion meaning you’d be more prone to rosacea. Has rosacea been mentioned before? I think Soolantra would probably work for you so I’d be inclined to give it a try if you’re prepared to pay for it.
This looks exactly like what I had (and many others on this forum).
If you haven’t already, I would suggest trying Soolontra. I also started laser treatments 5-6 months ago and I can’t remember last time I had any lesions.
My GP explained that Soolontra helps, but because this is coming from rosacea, you need to target vascular system as well, which laser does.
I’m also in Canada and Soolantra is called Rosiver here. I would just get a prescription if I was you. It’s definitely worth a shot as it’s cleared up most people on this site. You may find you have a die off reaction for first week or 2 but should see improvements by week 4-6. I’ve been clear for 10 years now.
I still use Rosiver. I stopped using it for about 3 months a few times and then the lesions start to return. A 60g tube lasts me about 18 months. I’ve tried applying every second day but this seems less effective since I start getting lesions after a while.
