@Toni I’m still using Soolantra (actually it’s Rosiver here in Canada). I’ve gone though a few periods of stopping for 2-4 months but things eventually start to deteriorate so I start again. It’s either pustules or seb derm that gets worse. The last tube I had lasted nearly 2 years but I think the effectiveness starts to reduce. This time it was a small outbreak of what seemed like seb derm on the right side of my nose. I got a new tube and things seem to be getting better. I’m currently applying it daily.
I’ve also just gone back to a routine of washing with soap. Previously it was just water. I’d read that doctors recommend twice daily washing for Demodex. There’s some connection with really clean skin helping things with demodex. Here’s an example of information: Demodex (Face Mites): Folliculorum, Brevis & Treatment
I noticed a few pustules appeared a few days after I started the soap washing again. I hadn’t had a pustule in about a year so this made me wonder about die off. The seb derm spot is a bit persistent so I’ll monitor this and the pustules.
In March 2016 I started Soolantra. That’s over 9 years ago! Dermatologists and doctors still seem confounded by this condition and waste people’s time and money with tests for staph infections and other things. We don’t know root cause but what we do know is that Soolantra is almost always effective.
