Main topic - Oozing Yellow Crusts

@Toni I’m still using Soolantra (actually it’s Rosiver here in Canada). I’ve gone though a few periods of stopping for 2-4 months but things eventually start to deteriorate so I start again. It’s either pustules or seb derm that gets worse. The last tube I had lasted nearly 2 years but I think the effectiveness starts to reduce. This time it was a small outbreak of what seemed like seb derm on the right side of my nose. I got a new tube and things seem to be getting better. I’m currently applying it daily.

I’ve also just gone back to a routine of washing with soap. Previously it was just water. I’d read that doctors recommend twice daily washing for Demodex. There’s some connection with really clean skin helping things with demodex. Here’s an example of information: Demodex (Face Mites): Folliculorum, Brevis & Treatment

I noticed a few pustules appeared a few days after I started the soap washing again. I hadn’t had a pustule in about a year so this made me wonder about die off. The seb derm spot is a bit persistent so I’ll monitor this and the pustules.

In March 2016 I started Soolantra. That’s over 9 years ago! Dermatologists and doctors still seem confounded by this condition and waste people’s time and money with tests for staph infections and other things. We don’t know root cause but what we do know is that Soolantra is almost always effective.

Hello !

I’ve discovered this site some days ago and was happy to learn that I am not the only one with this rare condition and there is hope in numbers.

I went to at least 5 dermatologists that are some of the best in my country and got diagnosed with Impetigo, Seb Derm, Rosaceae, Acne, Facial Herpes.

Tried for 3 years different antibiotics creams natural treatments inside/outside every thing under the sun. Nothings works even tried carnivore diet witch helped but did not cured it. Perfect diet and jogging/fitness all wellness that you can think of, did not cured it.

Tried different tests for autoimmune diseases, blood tests, Hashimoto’s… I have a big file with everything i had tried but nothing worked, just helped a bit or make it worse.

Tried Metronidazole locale for 2 months still got yellow oozing crusts, Soolantra for 2 months and it was better ofc but did not cure it.

1 of the doctors told me she is sure it’s facial Herpes but I did a DNA PCR test swab from one of the pustules and it turn out negative, when I did the blood test instead it went positive for type 1 oral but I never in my life had a cold sore anywhere on my body so I am not sure what to think, with this occasion I discovered that I have antibodies for herpes but half the population has it so I don t want to believe in it…

But I got paranoia and though that my wife cheated and I did not know and it got to me… did every single blood test and urethral secretion test there is starting from SIDA, Syphilis, Gonorhea to Urine tests everything… lots of money but all negative.

One doctor recommended Accutane but I am scared of it to be honest.

Now I am using some natural creams with active ingredients formulated in a lab and got rid of my seborrheic dermatitis from my head and eyebrows for good = 2 years free, and this god awful disease that looks like rosacea I am keeping at bay with a water base gel with some acids and natural compounds, wash every night then apply cream with some metronidazole Sulphur niacinamide and something else and that s it, in the day I don t wash at all because I found that my sebum provides moisture and protection, is only at night that sebum is filled with dirt and dust etc that needs to be rinsed cleaned.

With this schedule I now have 1 yellow pustule a month lets say witch heals in 2/3 days rather from 1 a week that heals in 4/5 days.

The best things that really helped in order of importance for me:

  1. Less stress
  2. Soolantra
  3. Metronidazole/Sulphur

I want to ask you people so I can make a correlation and continue working on this, because my father had a similar thing going on but his pustules were painful and red and sometimes blood would come out and I got him to try some lab formulated creams and now he is free of it so it gives me hope to keep trying. So here are my questions:

  1. Your parents have some type of autoimmune disease? like diabetes etc (Genetical factor)
  2. Do you have big stress in you life? (chronic stress actually - hate job - hate partner etc)
  3. Do you have Herpes? (blood test type 1 or 2)
  4. What blood type are you ?
  5. What does your diet look like? (clean or hectic)
  6. Do you have other skin conditions on face besides this one ?
  7. Did you suffer a trauma in your life that is linked to the debut of this disease ?
  8. Are you doing sports sweating a lot ?
  9. Are you changing your sheets pillow clothes as normal ?
  10. Do you have/had an untreated sex disease or had multiple partners ?

Thanks for reading this much, sorry about my English and I really hope we can unite and destroy this thing for good!

I figured out what was causing the redness that I thought was seb derm. It was the sun!! I’ve developed a big sensitivity so that even a short exposure will cause redness. It is winter now so no issues but I have to put sun cream whenever there’s sun. The dermatologist froze about 15 spots on my skin that were pre cancerous a month ago. I asked him about the pustule yellow oozing issue and he said it’s rosacea caused by demodex mites.
